NVIDIA introduces the improved GeForce RTX 3080

NVIDIA has just released a new GeForce RTX 3080 model. This new model has a total of 12 GB of RAM.

This is a 2GB boost over the previous 10GB available in the RTX 3080’s initial release equals the 12GB found in the RTX 3080 Ti. In addition, the new RTX 3080 has 8960 CUDA cores, which is a significant boost over the original. The GPU also includes a 384-bit memory bus, which is an improvement over the previous iteration.

The new RTX 3080 consumes more power than the predecessor, up to 350 watts verses 320 watts on the original. However, for the new RTX 3080, NVIDIA still recommends a 750W power supply.

The new RTX 3080 does not yet have a price tag attached to it. Keep an eye out for more information.
