Netflix is bringing AV1 codec streaming to smart TVs, and PlayStation 4 Pro is coming soon

Netflix has announced that the AV1 format will be available on compatible smart TVs and the PS4 Pro console.

Netflix claims to have begun streaming the AV1 format to Android mobile apps, which has improved the viewing experience for its subscribers, particularly in challenging network conditions. Netflix has decided to start streaming AV1 to TVs because a large number of its subscribers do so.
