MediaTek Dimensity 920, Dimensity 810 chipsets With 5G, 120Hz Display Support, now official

The latest additions to MediaTek’s Dimensity family are the Dimensity 920 5G and Dimensity 810 5G chipsets.

The Dimensity 920 is a 6nm-based processor that tries to strike a balance between performance, power, and affordability. It has intelligent displays and hardware-based 4K HDR video capture, as well as a 9 percent increase in gaming performance over the Dimensity 900’s predecessor.

• MediaTek Smart Adaptive Displays – Adjusts the display refresh rate based on the game or UI action detected, increasing it during moments of intense action to improve user experience and subsequently lowering it to optimize power efficiency.
• 4K Video Capture Hardware Engine – Includes a flagship-class HDR-native image signal processor (ISP) and a revolutionary hardware-accelerated 4K HDR video recording engine that supports up to four simultaneous cameras 108MP sensors.
• Improved Performance – The octa-core CPU features Arm Cortex-A78 processors with 2.5GHz clock speeds and the newest LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage.
• Advanced Connectivity – Dual 5G SIM, dual VoNR, up to 2CC carrier aggregation, MediaTek 5G UltraSave power-saving suite, 5G SA/NSA networking, 22 MIMO Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and multi-GNSS support are all supported.
• Smooth Gaming – Supports MediaTek HyperEngine 3.0, which includes 5G call and data concurrency, as well as high-speed rail and ‘Super Hotspot’ technology connection advancements.

The Dimensity 810 is also made on the 6nm node and has an Arm Cortex-A76 CPU that can run at up to 2.4GHz. It also boasts premium camera features like Arcsoft’s artistic AI-color and superior noise reduction algorithms for better low-light photography.

The Dimensity 810 includes the following features: • Improved Performance – Arm Cortex-A76 processors now support up to 2.4GHz in its octa-core CPU.
• Faster Displays — For a smooth user experience, mainstream 5G smartphones now include 120Hz displays.
• Better Cameras – Supports advanced noise reduction algorithms (MFNR & MCTF) and up to 64MP cameras for superb low-light capture.
• High-end AI-Camera Features – In conjunction with Arcsoft, enables camera experiences such as AI-Bokeh and artistic AI-Color.
• Smooth Gaming — With a sophisticated resource management engine and advanced networking engine, it supports MediaTek’s HyperEngine 2.0 gaming technology.

The new MediaTek Dimensity 920 and Dimensity 810 processors will power 5G devices set to hit the market in Q3 2021.
