Instagram Reels are now extensively available on Facebook in the United States

A little more than a month after announcing a test mixing Instagram Reels’ short-form video content with its main Facebook app, Facebook is preparing to completely roll it out in the United States. Users may now make reels on Facebook, and Facebook is exploring suggestions that would push the videos to its users.

A key part of the Reels effort is appealing to people who create amusing material, and with its news feed, Facebook can offer potentially higher amounts of exposure than anybody else, including TikTok and Snapchat. To emphasize the point, Facebook introduced a Reels Play bonus program in which certain creators will be compensated based on the performance of their reels.

Sign up for the bonus program if you’re interested, but even if you’re not a pro at going viral, you can still create a Reel on Facebook. If you’re not familiar with the Instagram feature that debuted a year ago, it’s quite similar to TikTok, with tools for simply editing movies with your own audio or popular song clips from the library, AR effects, and stitching.
