Globe’s LTE Consistency Score™ in NCR Is at 81.30

Customers benefit from Globe’s aggressive network rollout in the National Capital Region, which has resulted in improved call and data browsing services.

Globe’s LTE Consistency ScoreTM for Metro Manila has reached 81.30 as of Q21 this year, according to the latest data from Ookla®. It’s also a considerable improvement over the same time period in 2020, when Globe only scored 53.96 points. Since April of this year, the technology company has received at least an 80 mobile Consistency ScoreTM in Metro Manila as a result of its ongoing network upgrades and builds.

“We strive to provide the best service possible to our customers and to provide them with a superior mobile experience. Since last year, we’ve made significant progress toward bringing our Consistency ScoreTM up to par with other global providers. To take advantage of the benefits of our network upgrades, we encourage our customers to upgrade their 3G SIM cards to 5G-ready 4G LTE SIMs and their devices to 4G LTE,” said Ernest Cu, Globe President and CEO.

The number of customer data transaction incidence (as a percentage) of a provider’s samples that equals or exceeds both a download threshold of 5 Mbps and an upload threshold of 1 Mbps is measured by the Mobile Consistency ScoreTM.

Globe’s plan to build more new cell towers is on track, with 212 new cell sites installed in Metro Manila in the first half of 2021. In addition, the technology firm has completed 1,954 site upgrades across the National Capital Region.
