GCash introduces GCash Jr. for users aged 7 to 17 years old

GCash Jr., a new version targeted for kids aged 7 to 17 years old, now allows them to access digital financial services and promotions.

GCash is currently only available to consumers above the age of 18. GCash Jr., on the other hand, is available to children aged 7 to 17. GCash intends to teach kids financial awareness and responsibility at a young age by providing them with features such as online payments and Pay QR for K-Pop items, buying load for gaming credits and skins, and GLife for meal discounts and the newest fashion trends.

The daily incoming and outgoing transaction limits for GCash Jr. e-wallets are PHP 50,000 and PHP 10,000, respectively.

GCash Jr., like ordinary GCash accounts, adheres to a strict KYC (Know-your-customer) procedure. Minors only need to provide a photo of one of the following IDs: a student ID, a passport, or a national ID. Their parents will also be needed to enter their completely confirmed GCash account for reference, as well as take a photo with their child’s ID. Users of GCash Jr. must also upload a photo of their birth certificate. Users will receive SMS confirmation as fully validated GCash Jr. users after completing all prerequisites.
