Facebook Messenger introduces ‘Split Payments’ feature in the US

Split Payments is a new feature coming to Facebook Messenger. Users may now divide expenses such as restaurant bills with friends and coworkers using the new functionality.

In the United States, Facebook Split Payments will begin testing this service for Facebook Messenger. To use Split Payments, go to Messenger’s Payments Hub or click the Get Started button in a group chat. You can divide a bill in half or modify the amount of each person’s contribution. A request will be sent, which will be visible in the group conversation.

Meta has also announced the availability of new Group Effects on Messenger and Instagram video calls. King Bach, Bella Poarch, and Zach King effects are among the new additions. Users of Messenger and Instagram will also be able to access two new Stranger Things-themed soundmojis.
