Dizo, a Realme sub-brand, previews the release of its first feature phone

Realme is preparing to introduce the first smartphone under its Dizo sub-brand.

Realme introduced dizo in May as a sub-brand focusing on AIoT products. Despite this, it appears that it will also release a feature phone.

Dizo shared a poster on its official Twitter page that appears to be a teaser for an impending smartphone release. As a teaser, it merely reveals a dark and distorted image of the device’s back.

We opened the photograph in a photo editing program and increased the brightness out of curiosity. A big circular glass with only a single camera and a pill-shaped LED flash greets us. Aside from that, Realme hasn’t revealed anything about the device.

It’s rumored to be the Dizo Star 500, which was certified by the FCC in May. A feature phone with prominent Dizo branding on the back is shown in the leaked photographs.

Dual SIM support, 2G connectivity, a 2-inch colored screen, physical keypads, a detachable battery, and a microSD card slot are reportedly said to be included.

In the future, the Star 500 is expected to be joined by the Star 300 and possibly more basic phones. This could be Realme’s strategy of gaining a foothold in the feature phone market, which has shown to be profitable for other brands.

The release date for these gadgets has yet to be determined by Dizo.
