The Odyssey Ark has just gone global, according to Samsung. The world’s first 55-inch 4K 1000R curved gaming screen, with mind-blowing capabilities like a 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, a Cockpit Mode, and its own controller, the Ark Dial.
The display itself is a 55-inch 4K 1000R curvature with a 3840 x 2160 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The panel employs Quantum Mini LEDs with 14-bit processing for ultra-fine control of its LEDs, resulting in a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and 16,384 black levels.
For competitive gaming, it also has a refresh rate of 165Hz and a reaction time of 1ms with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. Furthermore, customers may enjoy games through Samsung’s Gaming Hub, which includes partners like as Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Google Stadia, and others.
Cockpit Mode is just the Odyssey Ark’s ability to spin 90° while viewing to keep the screen upright. This is made feasible by the adjustable height and tilt stand and wall mount choices.
The Odyssey Ark’s proprietary control is the Ark Dial, which allows users to easily and rapidly control display settings such as Flex Move Screen, Multi View, Quick Settings, and Game Bar. The Ark Dial is also USB-C charged, which eliminates the need for disposable batteries.
When in horizontal or vertical mode, users can alter the screen size between 55 and 27 inches, change the screen position, and switch screen ratios between 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9.
Multi View allows users to display up to four screens horizontally or three screens in Cockpit Mode. Game Bar is a gaming feature that allows gamers to rapidly see their gaming status and settings, such as FPS, without leaving the game screen.
It also has an outstanding sound system with four speakers and two woofers for a total output of 60W and support for Sound Dome Tech and Dolby Atmos.
