Starlink will be available in the Philippines by the Q4 of 2022

According to SpaceX’s Starlink availability map, its services may be available in the Philippines as early as the fourth quarter of 2022.

According to Reuters, the Philippines will be the first country in Southeast Asia to acquire Starlink satellite internet service. And maybe second in Asia, after Japan, which is scheduled to connect in the third quarter of the same year.

This is also in line with recent reports that the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan will aggressively communicate to and negotiate with Starlink representatives.

However, a reminder to everyone that Starlink still lacks outstanding service coverage or regulatory permission, as stated in their disclaimer, “Estimates are reliant on government approval and network expansions.”

This is now possible according to President Rodrigo Duterte’s newly signed measure modifying Commonwealth Act No. 146, or the revised Public Service Act, which removes limits on foreigners wholly owning a firm in the Philippines.

We also recently reported that the corporation has begun the process of registering its business in the Philippines.

You may find Starlink’s availability map here, and then move your mouse over the Philippines map.
