Netflix intends to add live-streaming features

Netflix may soon add livestreaming to its service.

Netflix is in the early phases of bringing unscripted shows and stand-up specials to live-streaming, according to Deadline.

According to the source, Netflix may use the live stream option to offer live voting for competition programs and talent contests like ABC’s American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.

This live stream capability will be used in its upcoming Dancing 100 dance competition series. As well as in its ‘Netflix Is A Joke’ festival, which showcases stand-up comedy performances by celebrities like Dave Chappelle and Pete Davidson.

Would this suggest that live shows, such as live sports coverage and late-night chat shows, may be used in other areas? All we can do now is wait and see.

But what are your thoughts on Netflix’s support for live streaming, and what do you hope they do with it? Leave your ideas in the comments section!
